  • New "blips and bloops" increases the number of default options available in Ringo Ringtone manager for Palm OS, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile.
  • It could be the next-gen - 3G and GPS-enabled - edition of the iPhone, which Apple may ship as soon as a month from now.
  • The iPhone will become available from multiple operators in three markets.

  • Overall CPU prices have gone back into a holding pattern, with both AMD and Intel products showing very nominal - if any - price drops. There is some very limited activity, but at least prices haven't been rising either.   • Patriot Memory has introduced "Revision 2" Extreme Performance PC2-8500 modules, offering increased stability and compatibility, while continuing to provide EPP options for high-end overclocking.
  • OCZ Technology has announced their latest high-speed DDR3 memory product, the OCZ DDR3 PC3-16000 Platinum Edition, which hits 2.0 GHz in a 2GB module capacity.
  • Dell has jumped into the high-end gaming arena with four feet, outfitting their XPS 730 H2/H2C gaming behemoths with quad-core processors, quad graphics and an optional H2C cooling solution.
  • Kingston Technology has joined the Intel Skulltrail camp with a new high-performance, low-latency HyperX DDR2 FB-DIMM kit running at 800 MHz.
  • Last week's Intel Core 2 price-cutting created some anticipation for this week, but unfortunately, we're mostly back to the status quo. The AMD CPU chart is a non-event, but there was some activity on the Intel side, including a few double-digit cuts at the 3.0-3.16 GHz Core 2 Duo range.
